Back Up Your Flickr
· Aug 7, 08:57 AM

Once again, Flickr has, without any given reason or warning, deleted a user’s account.

Flickr is a great site for professional and amateur photographers alike. It gives you exposure, inspiration and a sense of community.

However, what happens when something like what was done to this particular Flickr user happens to you? Well, if you’re a professional, you probably already have all of your photos that might be on Flickr backed up.

However, many Flickr users use the site as a repository of their work. Also, if, for instance, you have a hard drive crash, your backup of your work on Flickr might be gone. What do you do now?

Well, there’s a nifty little application called flump. Flump allows you to download all the photos in your Flickr account. It’s very simple to use, and allows you to place the photos in a folder on your desktop or in your documents folder.

Once you choose a folder to place the photos in and click “Start Flump”, it runs in the background and downloads all of your pictures from Flickr.

flump can be downloaded here.
