Corpus Christi This Weekend

Live blogging District Convention Weekend in Corpus Christi, Texas! I'm going to be in Corpus Christi, Texas this weekend for the District Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. Today we went to the beach. First we ate at Snoopy's right under the Causeway.
Great place to eat. I recommend the Fish 'N Chips.
Then we went to Padre Island. The water was unusually clear today. Almost blue. (It's hard to tell in the photos.)
Then I went Fishing.
I caught two of these (Amber wanted to hold it).
They're called Ladyfish (Skipjack). They're referred to as the poor man's tarpon. And that's not a joke. These fish dance and cartwheel across the water when hooked. It was a blast.
After some fishing and swimming, it was time to get serious.
It doesn't get any better than Beer with Lime on the Beach.
Tomorrow the Convention starts. I'll post some more pics and some highlights at the end of the day.
