DRIVEL!
Media Matters=Fox News
Both are creators of FALSE STORIES. (2 Pet 1:16)
Don’t listen to what EITHER of them say. Just listen to common sense. They’re both Propaganda machines.

Your math is faulty.
One is a TV network that makes stuff up.
The other is a website that documents stupid and inaccurate statements made by idiots like the aforementioned TV network.

One is a TV network that panders to extreme political views.

No.
The difference between the two is that MM actually uses well-established facts to highlight journalistic inaccuracies. You know, that thing that used to be called “journalism”. The fact that their subject matter happens to favor right-wing media types over left-wing media types (and let’s face it, the right-wing bozos do make a lot more noise) does not alter the validity of their arguments.
The TV network like to pull debatable facts out of thin air, repeat them over and over again at the highest possible volume, and add some scary graphics and theme music for effect. If there is a kernel of veracity to anything they claim, this tends to be purely by accident, more times than not. As the saying in Texas goes, “even a broken clock is right twice a day”.
To quote the old song from SESAME STREET, “one of these things is not like the other”.

Look, I’m not saying there aren’t any differences in their methodologies or philosophies.
But they are both sources of “noise.”
It reminds me of a kid at school telling a witness kid who just broke an arm and is cursing in agony, “Hey, I thought witnesses weren’t supposed to cuss?”
Anyhow, like I said, both organizations DISTRACT. Whether their arguments hold water or not, they’re distractions.
Who cares about what Rush or Hannity said that was inaccurate? Who cares how annoying Hilary sounds when she gets worked up? Who cares why John Edwards calls himself green when he’s not really? Who cares why Bill O’Reilly said something that some consider racist?
What about crime? What about death? What about the environment?
Getting worked up over someones inaccuracies in their reporting is not going to save the environment. In fact, it’s probably going to ruin it because of all the Carbon Dioxide exiting the mouths of frustrated and pissed individuals.
Getting worked up over bad reporting is not going to stop violence in the streets.
Getting worked up because “democrats are trying to destroy this country” or whatever political right-wingers believe is not going to keep me from dying. (It will certainly speed things along.)
As right-wing as this sounds, there IS a culture war going on in this country. Media Matters and Fox News both cause people to take sides.
There shouldn’t BE any sides.
